4220 рубAdvanced Data Mining Technologies in Bioinformatics
The technologies in data mining have been successfully applied to bioinformatics research in the past few years, but more research in this field is necessary. While tremendous progress has been made over the years, many of the fundamental challenges in bioinformatics are still open. Data mining plays an essential role in understanding the emerging problems in genomics, proteomics, and systems biology. Advanced Data Mining Technologies in Bioinformatics covers important research topics of data mining on bioinformatics. Readers of this book will gain an understanding of the basics and problems of bioinformatics, as well as the applications of data mining technologies in tackling the problems and the essential research topics in the field. Advanced Data Mining Technologies in Bioinformatics is extremely useful for data mining researchers, molecular biologists, graduate students, and others interested in this topic.

Carlos Cid, Sean Murphy, Matthew Robshaw The Belgian block cipher Rijndael was chosen in 2000 by the U.S. government’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to be the successor to the Data Encryption Standard. Rijndael was subsequently standardised as the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), which is potentially the world’s most important block cipher. In 2002, some new analytical techniques were suggested that may have a dramatic effect on the security of the AES. Existing analytical techniques for block ciphers depend heavily on a statistical approach, whereas these new techniques are algebraic in nature. Algebraic Aspects of the Advanced Encryption Standard, appearing five years after publication of the AES, presents the state of the art for the use of such algebraic techniques in analysing the AES. The primary audience for this work includes academic and industry researchers in cryptology; the book is also suitable for advanced-level students.

ARIST, published annually since 1966, is a landmark publication within the information science community. It surveys the landscape of information science and technology, providing an analytical, authoritative, and accessible overview of recent trends and significant developments. The range of topics varies considerably, reflecting the dynamism of the discipline and the diversity of theoretical and applied perspectives. While ARIST continues to cover key topics associated with "classical" information science (e.g., bibliometrics, information retrieval), editor Blaise Cronin is selectively expanding its footprint in an effort to connect information science more tightly with cognate academic and professional communities. Contents of Volume 39: SECTION I: Information Retrieval Chapter 1: Statistical Language Modeling for Information Retrieval, Xiaoyong Liu and W. Bruce Croft Chapter 2: Information Retrieval on the Web, Kiduk Yang Chapter 3: Webometrics, Mike Thelwall,...

6310 рубComplexity and Cryptography: An Introduction
John Talbot, Dominic Welsh Cryptography plays a crucial role in many aspects of today's world, from internet banking and ecommerce to email and web-based business processes. Understanding the principles on which it is based is an important topic that requires a knowledge of both computational complexity and a range of topics in pure mathematics. This book provides that knowledge, combining an informal style with strong proofs of the key results to provide an accessible introduction. It includes many examples and exercises, and is based on a highly successful course developed and taught over many years.

5290 рубCoordination of Large-Scale Multiagent Systems
Edited by Paul Scerri, Regis Vincent, Roger Mailler Challenges arise when the size of a group of cooperating agents is scaled to hundreds or thousands of members. In domains such as space exploration, military and disaster response, groups of this size (or larger) are required to achieve extremely complex, distributed goals. To effectively and efficiently achieve their goals, members of a group need to cohesively follow a joint course of action while remaining flexible to unforeseen developments in the environment. "Coordination of Large-Scale Multiagent Systems" provides extensive coverage of the latest research and novel solutions being developed in the field. It describes specific systems, such as Serse and Wizer, as well as general approaches based on game theory, optimization and other more theoretical frameworks. It will be of interest to researchers in academia and industry, as well as advanced-level students. Издание на английском языке.

Ed Moyle, Diana Kelley Learn to Use the Right Cryptography Library Everytime! No longer is it an option for software to include cryptography; everyone from office suites to accounting software and eCommerce Web sites use it. So today?s developers have to know how to write software that includes cryptographic functionality. Although they are usually familiar with the basics of cryptography, they are not always familiar enough with the available products to select the right API/library and get up and running with it quickly. Cryptographic Libraries for Developers teaches developers about the available APIs and helps them select the right ones for their projects based on platform, language, and regulatory requirements. The book serves as a nuts and bolts guide to writing software using these libraries and provides abundant examples and detailed examples throughout. The libraries covered include OpenSSL, B/Safe, the Java Cryptographic Library (JCE,) as sign/verify, encrypt/decrypt (asymmetric and symmetric,)...
